Summaries: APCO China, a leading international public affairs consultancy, is seeking to hire a consultant for its Investment Government Relations team in Beijing. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: A successful applicant should have experience demonstrating strong:
• Market insight
A strong understanding of China’s political system, stakeholders, and challenges impacting foreign businesses will be an asset. The confidence and ability to build and maintain relations with individuals within relevant government agencies, academia, business, and non-governmental groups is expected.

• Writing and analytical skills
Writing, research, and analytical skills are critical as our consultants support client projects at a strategic level. Consultants will be expected to succinctly articulate issues, opinions, and strategy recommendations in written reports and correspondence.

• Interpersonal skills, oral communication, and presentation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for interaction with clients and their stakeholders. Beyond language skills, our consultants need to know how to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders across the business, government, civil society, and media sectors

• Strong tactical abilities, time management, and multi-tasking skills
