APCO Worldwide (APCO), a leading international public affairs and strategic communication consulting firm, is seeking to hire an associate director or senior consultant for its public affairs team in Hong Kong.

The individual will have leadership responsibilities in Hong Kong in managing client relationships focusing on public affairs. Driving the development and execution of communications programs for our clients, the individual is also expected to lead the development of new business. The position demands versatility, confidence and the ability to drive project teams in developing innovative communications strategies. Applicants must be motivated self-starters who can balance multiple projects and clients.

The candidate should have a good understanding about the local public affairs scene. Interest in advising clients on stakeholder relations and communication strategy are essential to this position. Given our clients' needs are ever changing and will provide you with a diverse set of challenges and opportunities, candidates must be passionate to work in the fast changing public affairs environment.

Candidates should also have:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of working experience in consulting firm, corporation, diplomatic posting or media role
• Strategic thinker
• Team player with entrepreneurial spirit
• knowledge of media and skills in building and maintaining media relationships
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese

Candidate with less experience will be considered for consultant.
